God's Word
We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and was written by men as God’s revelation of Himself to man. (2 Timothy 3:15-16)
God
We believe there is one and only one living and true God. God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that God, in a display of His love for us, gave us Jesus His only Son, Who was born of a virgin and lived a miraculous life. During His life on Earth, He was tempted to sin against every point of the Law. In spite of this, He never sinned. We believe that Jesus took our sins to the cross and gave His sinless life as payment in full of our sin debt. On the third day after His death, He rose victorious from the tomb and later ascended to Heaven, where He is preparing a place for us and making intercession for us. We believe that He will soon return for us. (Ephesians 4:4-6, John 3:16, Romans 5:8, Hebrews 4:15, Colossians 2:14, John 14:1-3)
Man
We believe that man is the special creation of God, made in His own image. He created them male and female as the crowning work of His creation. We believe that “sin” refers to the breaking of God’s Law, which is the perfect standard against which we will each be judged. We believe that all have willfully sinned, and as a result, are lost with no hope (heading toward Hell and eternal separation from God in the Lake of Fire) apart from Jesus Christ, Who gave Himself for us so that we can be with Him forever in Heaven. (Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:23, John 14:1-6)
Salvation
We believe salvation, which is the forgiveness of sin, is offered to all people who willingly choose to receive Jesus Chris as Lord and Savior. One must acknowledge one’s sinfulness and believe in Jesus Christ as God’s Son. (Acts 4:12, Ephesians 2:8-9)
The Church
We believe the church is a local visible body of saved baptized believers. We also believe the church has been commissioned to go with the gospel and grow believers. (Colossians 1:18, Ephesians 1:22-23)
Baptism and Lord’s Supper
We believe Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby believers in Jesus Christ, through the un-leavened bread and the grape juice, memorialize the death of our Redeemer. (Matthew 3:13-17, Matthew 26:26-30, Romans 6:3-5)
Last Things
We believe that God, in His own way and His own time, will bring the world to its appropriate end. (Revelation 1:18, Revelation 3:11)
Evangelism
We believe it is the duty and privilege of every believer of Jesus Christ to take the gospel forward and make disciples of all people through both a verbal witness and a holy lifestyle that is consistent with our faith. (Romans 10:13-15, Ephesians 3:1-11, 2 Timothy 4:5, Revelation 22:17)
Stewardship
We believe that all we have is God’s and that we are to be faithful to God with our time, talents, and resources. (Malachi 3:8-12, Matthew 6:1-4, 19-21)
